I was in Seattle last week for a conference on the growing area of securing intellectual property rights relating to marijuana businesses, basically, branding opportunities. It also happened to be the first week that recreational marijuana sales began in Seattle and Washington State.
For those of us who used to purchase marijuana in back alleys or shady situations, this is really something to behold in terms of packaging. It also gives some insight into the future, once the Feds re-schedule or de-schedule marijuana, opening up more markets like Seattle for commercial sales.
This is really an exciting time. Congratulations to Washington State voters for ending the failed experiment of criminalizing marijuana.
